Students who wish to change their major to a degree program in Health and Kinesiology (with the exception of Sport Management) must first attend a change of major meeting with an advisor. These meetings are held multiple times during the semester. At this meeting students are given information in general about the major as well as specific information about how their coursework applies to the degree. Once a student has attended a change of major meeting and if they meet the minimum GPR for changing into the major, they can make an appointment with an advisor no sooner than 24 hours after the change of major meeting to complete the change of major (as long as it is within the acceptable change of curriculum period). Students must RSVP to attend this meeting at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
To change majors to Sport Management, students must complete an application. Applications are reviewed once a semester. Deadlines are typically October 1, March 1 and July 1. Students who want to change their major to Sport Management are encouraged to attend the change of major meeting so that they can get information about the degree as well as how their current coursework applies to the major.
