Dr. Brison received her M.S. in sport administration from Georgia State University, and a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport management and policy from the University of Georgia. She teaches courses in sport marketing (undergraduate) and sport sales (undergraduate and graduate). Dr. Brison’s research is in the area of sport marketing. Specifically, she examines how sport entities create, manage, and protect their brands with an emphasis on athlete branding.
Dr. Brison’s work has been published in the International Journal of Sports Marketing & Sponsorship, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport, and Marquette Sports Law Review. In 2017, she received the Sport and Recreation Law Association’s Lori K. Miller Young Professional award. Dr. Brison also serves as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport and is a member of the review board for the Journal of Global Sport Management.
