Pedagogy

The Department of Health and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University offers a Doctor of Education and Doctor of Philosophy programs with a specialty in Pedagogy. This specialization incorporates the core Kinesiology doctorate program requirements as well as providing an emphasis on pedagogy. Each student will complete courses in pedagogy, research design and analysis, and a core Kinesiology block.

Prerequisites

All students entering the doctorate program with a specialization in Pedagogy must meet the following prerequisites prior to entry:

  1. Admission to graduate school.
  2. Master's degree in physical education, education, or the equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  3. English language proficiency.
  4. Three years or more public school experience.
