Michael Brungardt is the former head strength and conditioning coach for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. In that role, he was responsible for the physical training of all players, including resistance training, conditioning, plyometrics, flexibility, and nutritional advice. During his time, the Spurs won four NBA world championships.
Brungradt’s career started as Grand Island Northwest High School as the head wrestling and assistant football coach. While there he created the weight room and helped develop one of the nation’s first high school strength and conditioning class curriculums. During that time, Northwest won two state football championships. He also developed Strength Advantage, which performed clinics around the country for high school coaches and athletes.
Brungardt is USA Weightlifting and FMS Certified, received the CSCCA Legend in the Field award in 2013 and was admitted into the USA Strength Coaches Hall Of Fame in 2011.
