The sport management minor is designed for students who want an introduction to working with sport organizations, which will complement a number of degrees.  The majority of the courses for this minor are available online.  Two of the minor courses will also meet International and Cultural Diversity requirements for core curriculum.

• Students admitted to the minor must have a minimum GPR of 2.0.

• All courses in the Sport Management minor must be completed with a “C” or better.

• A minimum of 15 hours is required for this minor.

6 hours of coursework is required:

SPMT 217 (3 hrs) Foundations of Sport Management

SPMT 482 (1 hr) Seminar

SPMT 482 (1 hr) Seminar

SPMT 482 (1 hr) Seminar

Topics for the Seminar classes include: Sport Sponsorship, Athletic Administration, and Sport and the Media.
