The Department of Health and Kinesiology is home to over 20 research centers, institutes, and laboratories. These places of learning produce a wealth of research that one may not associate with "Health and Kinesiology."

From health issues in children & adolescents to studies on the effects of space travel, our centers provide our faculty and students not only the latest in technology, but application of research that affects our nation and world. Our centers and laboratories are unique because of the research being done here is usually relegated to think tanks or medical institutions.

Funding comes through from a mix of governmental entities such as the Department of Defense, and well known companies such as General Mills. The work of our laboratories has been featured in noted journals and publications, and also in the mainstream press (CBS News, Los Angeles Times, BBC, and Muscle & Fitness).
