The Department of Health and Kinesiology proudly offers a B.S. in Kinesiology: Dance Science Track. A degree in dance science can lead to numerous opportunities within the field of dance performance and education. Students can obtain the necessary tools to teach, choreograph and direct in high schools, private studios, performance groups, dance/drill teams, dance within the community and/or companies or utilize their minor studies to pursue degrees in dance. Dance is considered to be an important part of the visual and performing arts educational experience. Studies of dance performance, education and history can enhance a student's academic experience. A minor in dance and a second teaching field in Dance for teacher certification are also available.
Admission to this program requires an application and audition. For application form and more information, click on the link to the Dance Program website. A limited number of students will be accepted to this minor each year.
