The goal of the Allied Health Degree Option (apart of the Health degree in the College of Education and Human Development) is to give students an opportunity to prepare for admission to a professional school such as nursing, occupational therapy or physician assistant while receiving a background in health education. Students will select electives from a list of prerequisites for a specific type of professional school. This degree is designed as a stepping stone degree for students interested in attending professional school. The majority of students in this program are planning on going directly to professional school upon graduation from Texas A&M University.
Professional Phase - students must meet prerequisite requirements in order to advance to the upper level (professional phase). The requirements are listed on the Degree Plan and General Rules sheet for each catalog. If the application deadline falls over a weekend, Professional Phase and Intent to Graduate forms will be due the following Monday.
