The Research Valley
The Bryan/College Station metropolitan area is located in the Research Valley, an area often referred to as "Aggieland"
The current population of College Station and Bryan totals more than 137,215
In 2006, Money Magazine named College Station the most educated city in Texas and the 11th most educated American city
Aggieland is centrall located within 200 miles of three of the 10 largest cities in the United States
College Station boasts over 250 restaurants serving over 22 different cuisines
The Brazos Valley offers six public golf courses and four private courses
Bryan ISD and College Station ISD are 5A districts that consist of several premier schools
 

George Bush Presidential Library and Museum - Visitors can experience the 41st president's life and presidency through artifacts, film, photographs and interactive video. The grounds also feature a small catch-and-release fishing pond and a horseshoe pit where the former president can sometimes be seen playing a game or two.

Messina Hof Winery and Resort - The Winery offers daily winery tours and wine tastings and boasts the award-winning Vintage House Restaurant and The Villa bed and breakfast. Special events include the Wine & Roses Festival, Harvest Weekends and Murder Mystery Dinners.

Lake Bryan - Families and friends can swim, play sand volleyball, go boating, camping, fishing, picnicking, hiking and biking. The lake also offers the Hook, a family-friendly lakeside bar and grill with great food, pool, big screen TVs, and live music almost every evening.

Historic Downtown Bryan - The revitalized downtown offers great boutique shops, an outdoor theatre, historic homes and buildings as well as mouth-watering restaurants for visiting. During First Fridays, visitors can ride in horse drawn carriages and stroll the streets taking in the art and music scene of the area.

The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley - For families with younger children, the children's museum is a hands-on, interactive and educational museum where kids explore different worlds through activities like painting and acting.

Arctic Wolf Ice Center - College Station's ice skating rink offers families public skating opportunities as well as figure skating lessons. Fans can also catch a little broomball and ice hockey action, and there is a rockwall available for the adventurous climber.

Brazos Valley Bombers - Families can hit a homerun at any of the Bombers summer home games. New to the Brazos Valley, this summer collegiate baseball league makes their games enjoyable for fans of all ages, offering contests and drawings to keep fans in on the action.

Opera and Performing Arts Society (OPAS) - OPAS has been providing a healthy dose of enlightening entertainment to the Brazos Valley for over 30 years by bringing a variety of theater, music, and dance programs to Aggieland.

Wolf Pen Creek Park & Amphitheater - The park offers a variety of outdoor recreation experiences for all ages including walking, picnicking, and playground activities.  The Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater offers a wide array of entertainment with outdoor concerts, plays and festivals. The Starlight Music Series is a free concert series held each summer at the amphitheater.

Tonkaway Ranch - A working cattle ranch and wing shooting paradise that combines impeccable service and exceptional hunting to provide the ultimate outdoor experience.

Adamson Lagoon - This family-oriented waterpark boasts a 50 meter, Olympic-size swimming pool. The tropical atmosphere in this exciting mini waterpark provides a pleasant and safe environment for the whole family. Attractions include a large serpentine water slide, a stump slide, tadpole slide, lilly pad walk, water basketball and tube rentals.
